February 20, 2008 - Carestream Health will sound the alert at HIMSS 2008 with its enhanced KODAK CARESTREAM Digital Dashboard, which includes proactive notification for system events via e-mail and text messaging, designed to prevent bottlenecks and enhance departmental productivity.
The digital dashboard, which supports its RIS/PACS and Information Management Solutions, reportedly enables system administrators to proactively monitor equipment performance, storage utilization and user volumes. The digital dashboard also is said to allow administrators to verify network communication of other vendors’ devices.
Digital dashboard enhancements include: user-configurable e-mail, text message and on-screen notifications alerts for issues ranging from disk space and table space thresholds to disruptions in network connectivity and failed processes; integration of the IBM Lotus Sametime module with the dashboard built to allow administrators to communicate with radiologists, physicians and other system users; dashboard updates, training and feedback sessions, RIS reports and PACS reports, so administrators can view snapshots of exam progress and other workflow characteristics.
The digital dashboard will be available worldwide in the second quarter of 2008
