VividTrac, SonoSite, FUJIFILM, Vivid Medical, Intubation

January 20, 2014 — Fujifilm SonoSite Inc., bedside and point-of-care ultrasound provider, will partner with Vivid Medical to co-promote the VividTrac Video Intubation Device. VividTrac is a single-use, "open access” video intubation device with a USB interface that connects to a variety of display options to provide clinicians access to high-resolution video intubation in an effort to enhance patient safety and care.

Developed by Vivid Medical, this pocket-sized, single-use device features a built-in anti-fogging lens and magnified field of view, providing high-resolution images to aid in accurate tube placement and first-pass intubation. VividTrac is a single-use device with an integrated endotracheal tube (ETT) channel, negating the need for sterilization or special capital equipment purchases.

VividTrac's is being modified to enable compatibility with SonoSite ultrasound systems to provide simultaneous video airway management and ultrasound play in resuscitation
