On November 10, 2014, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved CT lung cancer screening for Medicare recipients. Part of the radiology imaging center eligibility criteria include Low Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) of less than 1.5 mSv and the collection and submission of data to a CMS-approved national registry.
