Emageon 's version 5.30 marks a fundamental architectural change with regard to eliminating the need for routing and use of JPEG 2K storage, resulting in improved compression on disk storage.
It introduces folder-based architecture and personal content manager, which allow custom views of the worklist. The drag and drop features provide user-defined folder structures for better desktop organization of their work. 5.30 will also deliver the new Quality Control Workstation (QC Workstation).
Other new major features include: improved 3-D volume rendering; a stand-alone viewer for use on portable media; STAT study workflow and paging enhancements; centralized user account management (LDAP); MPR thick slice images; deletion protection management and policy-based deletion; and Web-based administrative capabilities, eliminating the need to install and configure a separate client side application.
