Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA Inc.' s Regius 110 Nano CR uses a rigid-plate design to extend the life of the phosphors by nearly double. Konica Minolta guarantees unlimited use of the phosphor cassettes for two years, compared to the typical industry standard of one year.
Regius 110 Nano would be the fastest single-bay CR system available, and it is designed to be compatible with Konica Minolta’s existing CR software, Xpress and IQue, allowing for simple plug-and-play use. Konica Minolta touted the Regius line’s high DQE rating compared to competitors.
The system, which was shown publicly for the first time at the Radiological Society of North America meeting in Chicago this week, is still awaiting FDA clearance. It is expected to be commercially available next year.
