Centurion Healthcare Products introduced its Central Venous Catheter Infection Reduction Bundle during the 2008 American Association of Critical-Care Nurses National Teaching Institute.
The bundle includes: Edwards Lifesciences Vantex Antimicrobial Catheters, Centurion SorbaView dressings, the BIOPATCH protective disk with CHG, the Centurion Catheter Securement System, Centurion Catheter Anchor Block, Centurion SnagFree Needle Holder, ChloraPrep, and the drapes, gowns and masks needed to optimize protection against blood-stream related infections.
The bundle was created to help clinicians meet IHI, CDC and JCAHO safety requirements relating to infection control during placement of central venous lines.
