Overall performance sees a shake-up with No. 1 Fuji, No. 2 Toshiba

June 25, 2012 — KLAS released the 2012 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment and Infrastructure report, which details what end-users think about imaging systems from specific vendors. The report recognizes leaders in individual medical equipment market segments as Best in KLAS, including digital X-rayCT, MRI (1.5T and 3.0T), ultrasound and mammography.

The Best in KLAS awards are based solely on the data from customers who provide feedback with an eye toward ultimately improving healthcare through better technology. The awards recognize vendors that offer excellent service and meet provider needs with product functionality. This report includes a total of 3,765 provider evaluations, including interviews with hospital and clinic executives, administrators, physicians, nurses, clinicians, directors and managers interacting with healthcare equipment and infrastructure solutions.

Fujifilm earns the distinction of overall performance leader for medical equipment with a score of 88.7 out of a possible 100 and overtakes incumbent Toshiba by a slim margin. Until this year, Toshiba has been ranked first in overall performance scores since the medical equipment Best in KLAS Awards report in 2008.
