January 9, 2017 — Fujifilm Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc. presented the next generation of its digital X-ray image processing technology, Dynamic Visualization II, at the 2016 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Nov. 27– Dec. 1 in Chicago.
Dynamic Visualization II addresses the challenge of clearly observing and adapting processing parameters for changes in contrast and density due to dense anatomy, structural obstructions, orthopedic hardware, differences in thicknesses, and over- and under-penetrated areas. The software takes full advantage of the wide range of image data acquired with the high sensitivity of Fujifilm’s advanced detector technologies. Dynamic Visualization II Image Processing provides improved contrast and density stability throughout the entire exposure region and achieves improved anatomic structure visibility across a wider range of patient thicknesses, especially for bariatric imaging.
The software will be made commercially available in the United States upon receipt of U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance.
