Several modalities will be on display, as well as upgrades to the Clinical Collaboration Platform

Carestream Showcases Imaging and Healthcare IT Systems at RSNA 2017

October 10, 2017 — Carestream will be highlighting several of its imaging systems and healthcare information technology (IT) solutions at the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting, Nov. 26-30 in Chicago.

Imaging systems on display will include:

  • Carestream’s OnSight 3-D Extremity System uses cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) technology to capture high-quality, weight-bearing and other types of extremity exams for orthopedic practices and imaging providers;
  • The Touch Prime/Touch Prime XE ultrasound systems offer a sealed, all-touch control panel, enhanced spatial detail, and reduced noise and artifacts;
  • DRX Plus detectors are thinner and lighter, and deliver enhanced image quality, while a new family of DRX Core detectors makes digital radiography (DR) imaging more affordable. The DRX-Evolution Plus System offers major software and hardware enhancements; and
  • Carestream will demonstrate its MyVue Center Self-Service Kiosk that automates storing, printing, and sharing of patients’ medical images and radiology reports.

On the healthcare IT side, Carestream shows imaging analytics software that can improve early detection rates for many conditions as part of its Clinical Collaboration Platform (CCP). This software can calculate liver density from a CT chest or abdomen study to detect a fatty liver; identify emphysema by detecting levels of trapped air in the lungs from a non-contrast CT chest study; and determine levels of coronary calcium from non-contrast CT chest studies in addition to assessing bone density. The CCP platform (also available in the cloud) makes patient images and data readily available to authorized users and its modular, standards-based platform reduces costs and boosts efficiency. It integrates into an existing ecosystem, streamlines administrative tasks and delivers a scalable deployment.
