October 8, 2007 - The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) announced that it will discontinue its annual conference.
Taking its place in 2008 will be the ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, with a new emphasis on the ASRT's governance system. The general education portion of the meeting will be eliminated.
The ASRT Board of Directors examined the annual meeting's role and format for several years before deciding to discontinue the traditional Annual Conference, which the association has hosted since the early 1920s.
