December 14, 2010 – Carestream Health has selected Matrox Xenia Series controller boards to drive a variety of the company’s picture archive and communication system (PACS) and mammography products.

The Xenia and Xenia Pro deliver smooth, reliable image quality plus triple high-resolution monitor support from a single PCI Express slot.

"The Matrox Xenia Series provides Carestream Health with display controller boards that meet the demands for high performance and image quality within radiology imaging today," says Ron Muscosky, product line manager for Carestream Health. "This is especially important for the Carestream Mammography Workstation, where optimized workflow and diagnostic confidence are absolutely critical."

The vendor-neutral, multi-modality workstation improves radiologist productivity by displaying surgical files, clinical images and patient data at one workstation. It enables efficient diagnostic review of all breast imaging exams as well as all general radiology exams by eliminating workflow bottlenecks.

The controller boards have pristine image quality at resolutions up to 8 megapixels and have 1GB of on-board memory for smooth, reliable performance.
