Creation of a center of excellence to maximize customer satisfaction

IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A), a world leader in particle accelerator technology, announced the opening of its INDux training center to maximize talent, share experiences and optimize knowledge of both customers and employees at its headquarters in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium.

December 30, 2021 — IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A), a world leader in particle accelerator technology, announced the opening of its INDux training center to maximize talent, share experiences and optimize knowledge of both customers and employees at its headquarters in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium. This center of excellence comprises different stations analogous to a real production environment, and aims to improve technical performance by providing hands-on practice.

The INDux training center was designed with a two pronged approach. On one hand it supports IBA's commitment to develop a personalized and proactive service to its customers by offering the opportunity to complete high quality training. On the other hand, it gives IBA engineers access to in-depth training whilst they are on site to optimize their learning time and further develop their technical performances for the benefit of customers.

Due to the expertise of the INDux trainers, trainees will benefit from high levels of practical and theoretical training on IBA’s Rhodotron and its subsystems. They can practice on industry leading equipment, enabling them to be more autonomous in processing their own material and to optimize the uptime of their radiation center.

The center also enables IBA's field service engineers to provide efficient remote support to customers, whilst facilitating the development of new features for R&D.

Thomas Servais, Executive Vice President of IBA Industrial, commented, "We are confident that the INDux training program will supply our customers with an initial insight into our technology even before the delivery of their equipment. Once their system is up and running, it will bring continuous training opportunities to their team to ensure safe and optimal usage of their solution. The comprehensive training program will help them develop their knowledge, optimize their expertise and will provide a unique opportunity to meet the IBA customer support team in person."
