August 30, 2016 — Calgary Scientific Inc. announced in mid-July that ResolutionMD medical imaging software is registered by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan for diagnosis using both Web and mobile devices. With the registration, ResolutionMD can now be used for Web and mobile diagnosis across all major population centers in Asia.
Healthcare in Taiwan is managed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, whose goal is to provide a family- and community-centered total care system. The ResolutionMD certification from the Ministry enables medical practitioners in Taiwan to provide a higher standard of care by gaining quick, secure mobile access to diagnostic images through the web, iOS or Android devices.
Previously, ResolutionMD was the first to receive certification from the China Food and Drug Administration, certified class II from the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency in Japan, certified by the Medical Device Control Office within the Department of Health in Hong Kong, first to receive certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea and registered with the Health Sciences Authority in Singapore.
ResolutionMD enables doctors to securely view patient images and reports from a wide variety of computers and mobile devices, collaborate with other practitioners and diagnose from any location. The software can be integrated into any electronic medical record (EMR) and easily plugs into existing distributed storage systems. ResolutionMD’s federated approach is an important differentiator from other solutions, as highly sensitive data is never moved to any device and no additional data storage locations are created.
