Siemens Medical Solutions rolled out the newest systems from its total imaging matrix technology, known as Tim, at the Radiological Society of North America’s meeting this week in Chicago.

Syngo TimCT includes a Continuous Table Move feature that allows physicians to acquire a complete planning scan, or peripheral angiography, in a single continuous move. With syngo TimCT, the table is not required to stay in a fixed position to acquire images. Rather, the table moves continuously as it does during a CT scan, while Tim enables the signal to be acquired simultaneously. The results, according to Siemens, are faster scans, increased image quality and the potential for new application capabilities.

The new T-class generation Tim systems enable shorter order-to-report turnaround time, streamlining ordering, planning, processing and distribution. Tim Workflow Suite offers automatic real-time composing, filtering and processing. The T-class includes syngo Chorus MR, which integrates the MRI scanner into RIS and PACS, from data retrieval through distribution and billing.
