February 28, 2010 - SIIM, which has served as a co-sponsor organization for the HIMSS annual meeting, will hold an educational seminar "Integrating Medical Images and the EHR," to help healthcare facilities prepare for the next wave of government legislation, requiring an interoperable nationwide health information system.
Janice Honeyman-Buck, Ph.D., FSIIM, will discuss why medical imaging is critical to the detection of disease, planning for therapy, and following disease progression, and why images need to be part of the Nationwide HIT definition from its inception.
SIIM will hold the seminar on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 9:45 am to 10:45 am, room B406, Convention Center, or visit the SIIM at Booth CS10 in the Co-sponsor Pavilion.
