February 27, 2007 � Cerner Corp. recently announced executives and clinicians from a variety of healthcare organizations will guide attendees through a specific patient condition demonstration, highlighting how Cerner Millennium, the company�s unified software, adapts to the various clinician roles and venues, this week at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference (HIMSS) in New Orleans.
�When you look at how information technology is used in healthcare organizations, it is not about gadgets and gizmos. It is about ensuring that the right knowledge at a healthcare organization is shared based on the condition of the patient, the role of the clinician and venue where the treatment is taking place,� said Neal Patterson, Cerner chairman and CEO.
Three of the presenters include St. Jude Children�s Research Hospital, Tri-City Medical Center and University of New Mexico Hospital.
