March 3, 2014 — Accusoft released the Barcode Xpress Mobile software development kits (SDKs) for iOS and Android devices. The SDK empowers developers to integrate mobile device barcode recognition into existing apps, or to build apps based on the sample code included with the kit.
The Barcode Xpress Mobile recognize barcodes and supports the GS1 DataBar family of barcodes commonly used on coupons and for other point-of-sale (POS) and non-POS applications. Apps enhanced or developed for Apple devices with Barcode Xpress Mobile are fully compatible with iOS 7.
Developers use Barcode Xpress Mobile to build mobile apps that tap the cameras in mobile devices to recognize a wide variety of 1-D and 2-D barcodes. In addition to sample code, the SDKs include platform-specific help files for iOS and Android.
