Three-day event is first in ongoing series of workshops to be held in the Middle East

ACR, Breast Imaging Boot Camp, Saudi Arabia, May 2016, Middle East, radiologist workshop

May 6, 2016 — The American College of Radiology (ACR) is partnering with GE Healthcare and King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to bring the first-ever ACR-led imaging boot camp training for breast radiologists to the Middle East. The three-day Breast Imaging Boot Camp, to be held May 23–25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will provide up to 40 practicing radiologists in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East with intensive hands-on experience in mammography and breast ultrasonography.

Attendees will interpret more than 240 digital screening and diagnostic mammograms and other medical images. Interventional workshops will also be available in breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy. Participants will be guided toward developing their perceptive skills with direct assistance from a panel of expert radiologists.

This will be the first in an ongoing series of boot camps and fellowships for radiologists across the region. Each boot camp is run by ACR’s experts and operates under the ACR Education Center. After successfully completing a workshop, participants will receive an ACR certificate of completion.
