Agfa HealthCare Licensed to Sell CR Mammography in Canada

November 28, 2007 – Agfa HealthCare announced at RSNA that Health Canada has issued the Belgian company a Canadian Medical Device License, authorizing them to sell their Computed Radiography (CR) Mammography system in Canada.

Agfa HealthCare's CR Mammography systems reportedly provide a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for moving from analog to digital mammography. For example, the CR 85-X can be configured to support mixed use between mammography and general radiology for seamlessly integrated digital mammography and general radiography workflows. Facilities can also use their existing analog X-ray modalities for maximum affordability.
