American Medical Sales Inc.'s alternative solution for full-diagnostic mammography workstations, MammoVue, hardware/software solution that allows users to view full-sized breast images and perform nondiagnostic tasks, reportedly at a fraction of the price of a full function mammography diagnostic workstation.

The system is designed to display all annotations as well as the information in any DICOM fields desired and encompasses a navigation screen that allows access to any image, according to the company. Security features include a fingerprint security key and automated logoff. MammoVue uses an all-in-one computer that can be pulled out of its shipping box, plugged into the PACS network and ready for use.

The MammoVue-Plus is a film digitizing software designed to allow scanning and DICOM tagging of mammography film images. Old patient films can then be archived on the PACS and compared with new FFDM images using the same hanging protocols.
