April 12, 2022 — The largest supplier of private healthcare in Denmark switches to Agfa DR based on image quality and support for a broad range of applications. Aleris-Hamlet is the largest supplier of private healthcare in Denmark, with seven hospitals throughout the country. It is part of the Aleris Group, which is one of Scandinavia’s leading private healthcare companies. Upon referral from a patient’s physician, Aleris-Hamlet offers a range of diagnostic imaging services, including X-ray, CT, mammography, MRI and ultrasound.
Radiology services are provided at five of the Aleris-Hamlet hospitals. For two of these sites, Aleris-Hamlet has chosen to switch from a 3rd party vendor to Agfa for digital radiography (DR). In December 2021, an agreement was signed for implementing a VALORY DR room with a Dura-line™ XD 17 wireless detector at the Aleris-Hamlet Aalborg hospital, and a DR 400 room at the Aleris-Hamlet Aarhus hospital. Agfa’s partner in Denmark, DuMed, played a key role in enabling the decision of Aleris-Hamlet, and the solutions were installed by the end of January 2022.

The Valory DR room balances reliability and productivity in a modern and easy-to-use design. Combined with the gold-standard Musica image quality, it provides ‘first-time right’ imaging. The DR room’s modular approach lets the Aleris-Hamlet Aalborg hospital fit the configuration to current needs and budgets, with the flexibility to upgrade at their own speed.
The 17-inch Dura-line Cesium Iodide detector, which was delivered with the Valory room, offers robust reliability, cost-effectiveness and excellent battery autonomy. Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology allows Dura-line detectors to be shared between different modalities, and combined with the intelligent Musica image processing software, they deliver high image quality at the lowest possible dose.1
