Nova Dash

May 24, 2011 – An executive dashboard for radiology practices has been introduced to specifically support better decision-making by presenting data in a more understandable way. NovaDash, by NovaRad, tracks radiologist productivity, monitors and verifies compliance, recognizes operational efficiencies and identifies and corrects trends before they become an issue.

An executive dashboard presents historical, current and predictive views of operations, giving real insight into the health of the practice. “Visual dashboards are replacing spreadsheets and manual-entry reporting because healthcare leaders are realizing that information that is presented visually with tables, charts, maps, etc. can be interpreted and understood more completely,” said Denny Phillips, president of Novarad South, a Novarad distributor. “The information is true business intelligence that leads to better decisions. NovaDash automates the collection of real-time data and presents it an understandable and visual way that can then be translated into clear managerial action steps.”

The dashboard constantly refreshes with current data from diverse sources and can interface with any HIS, billing or other compliant databases. To keep a practice on track, customized alerts are generated for any pre-defined data element such as stat reads, unread studies, financial data or compliance reporting enabling corrective measures to be applied immediately. The dashboard helps radiology practices anticipate and analyze “what-if” scenarios to optimize operational efficiencies to increasing bottom line revenue.
