December 29, 2008 – iCAD’s SecondLook Digital CAD technology customized for use with Agfa HealthCare’s Computed Radiography Systems is now available throughout Europe, as the company moves forward with its business strategy to increase the use of iCAD systems outside of the U.S.
iCAD has received CE mark approval to market and sell its customized solution with Agfa HealthCare’s Computed Radiography Systems and units have been placed at Bundes-Knappschaftkrankenhaus Püttlingen in Germany.
“In fact iCAD is a great aid where it comes to challenging mammography cases as it helps detecting difficult to spot cancers,” said Dr. Fenzl, M.D., head of Radiology for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Bundes-Knappschaftkrankenhaus Püttlingen, Saarland in Germany.
The partnership also underscores Agfa’s focus on diagnostic image management solutions and commitment to improving early detection of breast cancer in Europe.
