Ikonopedia announced the completion of its first completely remote installation of its innovative structured breast reporting software at Welch Road Imaging. Working against a tight timeframe to meet the opening of the newly relocated imaging center with emphasis on breast imaging, Ikonopedia performed Web-based installation, applications and training in less than two weeks. In addition, Ikonopedia showcased its complete suite of structured breast reporting and MQSA management system software tools at the National Consortium of Breast Centers' (NCoBC) 26th Annual National Interdisciplinary Breast Center Conference, April 9-13, 2016.

Welch Road Imaging, owned by radiologist Cheryl Futerman, M.D., is a free-standing outpatient imaging center in Menlo Park, Cal. The practice focuses on providing the highest level of patient care with results provided at the time of service. It serves a technology savvy, Silicon Valley patient population. The installation, in conjunction with RamSoft's PowerServer RIS/PACS, is designed to improve workflow and quality for all breast imaging exams performed at Welch Road Imaging.

"In order to ensure quality patient care, it was critical that we had our reporting capabilities available the day we opened the doors. Ikonopedia has a robust breast reporting system at a very reasonable price point and had the ability to work fast and smart to get us operational quickly. They have provided first rate support, from the moment we opened our doors. We look forward to integrating Ikonopedia with our Ramsoft PowerServer RIS/PACS as our next step," said Futerman.

Ikonopedia is an innovative structured breast reporting and MQSA management system designed to dramatically improve reporting efficiency, and optimize facility operations. All findings are saved as discrete data, which allows Ikonopedia to prevent errors, maintain BI-RADS-compliant language and automate many time-consuming processes. Ikonopedia makes it possible to eliminate laterality errors, automatically choose exam-appropriate patient letters and pull forward findings from past exams, along with many other time-saving features. Built on modern technology, Ikonopedia employs a closed-loop follow-up system to make sure that no patient can ever get lost in the shuffle of a busy clinic.

"Ikonopedia is proud of being able to respond quickly to support the opening of Welch Road Imaging by levering modern technology to execute a completely remote, web-based installation and training process. With the time and cost savings associated with this capability, we believe that this further demonstrates the appropriateness of Ikonopedia's breast reporting tools for a boutique private practice all the way to bustling academic centers," said Emily Crane, CEO of Ikonopedia.
