pacs RIS mammography reporting software RSNA women intelerad inteleris

November 8, 2013 — Intelerad Medical Systems, a developer in medical imaging picturing archiving and communication systems (PACS), radiology information systems (RIS) and workflow solutions, announced the launch of InteleRIS 8.224, the latest version of their RIS. The solution includes a new optional Mammo Reporting Module and several new features, including enhanced scheduling, complete-and-hold function for technologists, patient-signed outside prior requests and the ability to import PDF reports from outside systems via Health Level Seven (HL7).

“Our goal with this latest version of InteleRIS is to further automate and simplify procedures to drive efficiency within radiology practices,” said Todd Davis, chief clinical systems officer, Intelerad. “As we move forward with this solution, we will be adding more self-service elements to reduce the workloads of front-office staff and help organizations attract patients and referring physicians who are interested in managing their appointments online.”

New: InteleRIS Mammo Reporting Module
Designed for clinics that perform breast imaging procedures, the InteleRIS Mammo Reporting Module boosts efficiency of clinic support staff. By providing a comprehensive set of Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) worksheets, the module allows for patients to be tracked efficiently. Fully integrated with InteleRIS, the module allows staff to easily book follow-up appointments, print results letters, print letters to physicians and enter pathology data.

Previewing at RSNA: scheduling portal for patients and referring physicians
As part of their plan to further develop InteleRIS, Intelerad will be adding a Scheduling Portal to the solution to allow patients and physicians to easily manage appointments online. The Portal provides a high level of self-service, which allows patients and physicians to view previous appointments, book or request an appointment and fill out dynamic screening interviews prior to arrival which saves time at check-in for both patients and technologists.
