November 17, 2015 — PerkinElmer Inc. announced that it will showcase its Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) and complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) flat panel X-ray detectors at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2015 annual meeting, Nov. 29-Dec. 4 in Chicago.

New offerings at the meeting will include:

  • XRD4343RF (to begin shipping in 2016): a 43cm x 43cm detector intended for use as a component in radiography, fluoroscopy and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems. Its design enables enhanced performance, providing outstanding X-ray imaging for a wide range of applications. The detector offers frame rates up to 50 fps and has a direct-deposited cesium iodide (CsI) scintillator; and
  • Dexela 2321 (to begin shipping in 2016): a state-of-the-art 23 cm x 21 cm real-time X-ray detector designed for use as a component in mobile C-arm and other fluoroscopy systems. This detector has a CsI scintillator and exceptional low-dose DQE. It employs advanced, low-noise CMOS image sensor technology for high speed real-time imaging within surgical applications.

In addition, PerkinElmer will display its comprehensive family of lightweight XRpad wired and wireless, lightweight, cassette-sized flat panel detectors:

  • XRpad 4336: a wireless, portable detector for digital radiography applications, featuring a 100 µm pixel pitch, a directly deposited CsI scintillator, automatic exposure detection (AED) and high image quality; and
  • XRpad 4343 F: a wired cassette-sized detector for digital radiography, featuring a 100 µm pixel pitch, a directly deposited CsI scintillator, automatic exposure detection (AED) and high image quality; and
  • XRpad2 3025 (in development): PerkinElmer's second-generation wireless, lightweight cassette-sized detector for digital radiography, with a 30 cm x 25 cm (12" x 10") imaging area.
