Company will display latest innovations in CT, nuclear imaging, MRI and information technology

October 13, 2016 — Philips announced that it will be displaying a variety of solutions aimed at increasing diagnostic confidence at the 2016 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Nov. 27-Dec. 3 in Chicago.

Confident diagnoses often depend on insight-yielding images. With Philips IQon Spectral CT, which the company calls the world's first spectral detector-based CT (computed tomography) scanner, one scan delivers the data needed to make a confident diagnosis. The IQon Spectral CT captures spectral information 100 percent of the time, empowering physicians to improve clinical confidence.

The Philips Vereos digital positron emission tomography (PET)/CT uses Philips proprietary Digital Photon Counting (DPC) technology which has 1:1 coupling, and approximately twice as much volumetric resolution, sensitivity gain and quantitative accuracy as analog systems. Users get better information and more certainty, helping improve diagnostic confidence and enhancing patient experience.

In neurology, complexity clouds certainty. Philips offers various magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) innovations, providing fast, efficient, imaging techniques and user-friendly systems. Their new set of neuro applications can help resolve complex neuro questions, unlock new territories and provide improved MR imaging applications that empower diagnostic confidence.

Philips IntelliSpace Portal 9.0 — an advanced visualization and analysis solution — provides a single comprehensive overview of the patient for quick detection, confident diagnosis and efficient follow-up. It provides enterprise-wide image and information management, while using machine learning to adapt workflows to physician preferences. The latest version greatly enhances the depth of clinical analysis in neurology and cardiology for even the most complex patients.
