February 20, 2008 – Philips achieved a 33 percent increase in sales of Green Products in 2007, all three sectors: Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle, resulting in total Green Product sales of EUR 5.3 billion in 2007, compared with EUR 4 billion in 2006.

Sales of Green Healthcare Products increased by 35 percent, mainly crediting the MRI scanner and patient monitors sectors. The Philips MRI scanner Achieva 3.0T X-series reportedly reduces environmental impact by 32 percent, compared to previous models. The Philips IntelliVue MMS X2 Patient Monitor is said to consume 52 percent less energy during use.

Philips announced its EcoVision4 program in September 2007, looking to double sales of Green Products to 30 percent of total revenues within five years. Green Product sales now account for 20 percent of total Philips sales in 2007, compared with 15 percent in 2006.
