March 29, 2017 — Rayence Inc. announced that its new C-Series digital radiography (DR) detectors have recently been recognized by the iF International Product Design Forum for design excellence. The award was presented to Rayence on March 10, 2017 in Munich, Germany.
The iF Product Design Award was first introduced in 1954 by the iF Industrie Forum Design e.V. as part of the Hanover Fair industrial trade exhibition to highlight German design. Since then it is annually conferred by the iF International Design Forum to help increase public awareness about product design overall. This global competition is divided into 7 categories and 70 subcategories, with more than 5,500 entries from around 60 nations submitted for consideration.
The award evaluation criteria includes design execution and workmanship; ergonomics and usability; aesthetic appeal; social responsibility; target group fit and product differentiation.
Previous winners include notable names across many industries such as Hewlett Packard, Audi Quattro, Nokia, GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthcare and Philips.
