Standard Imaging announced at AAPM the final release of RAy Film Dosimetry Software, a 3-D solution for radiation treatment planning that compares 2-D and 3-D image datasets as well as dose volume histograms.
RAy Film Dosimetry Software, developed by Agile Radiological Technologies Inc. (ART) and sold exclusively by Standard Imaging, addresses the need for medical physicists, dosimetrists and clinicians to compare measure dose delivery to treatment plans using both 2-D and 3-D image datasets. The solution’s proprietary algorithm interpolates the 2-D image dataset into a full volumetric 3-D dose distribution. It then takes the measured dose volume histogram and compares it to the planned 3-D dose volume histogram to determine if the treatment plan requires modification.
