November 12, 2010 — ImageAware Virtual Archive is storage offered as a service solution for image and media connectivity, storage, management and distribution needs.
This service allows clients to remote host all diagnostic images, media (ECG and other waveforms, wound care photos, dermatology photos, jpeg images from pathology) and scanned documents within Cerner’s infrastructure, image enabling the electronic health record (EHR). It helps reduce costs by creating one master storage platform that is vendor- and data-neutral. The ImageAware Virtual Archive provides an image storage platform for Cerner solutions to help clinicians make the most informed decisions on behalf of their patients.
Cerner also offers a more traditional client-hosted deployment of its vendor-neutral archive.
