Study Shows Increased Use of Image-Guided Radiotherapy

April 6, 2007 - According to a recent study published by IMV Medical Information Division, patients have made an estimated 23.2 million radiation therapy or related visits in the U.S., including 19 million treatment visits and 4.2 million allied visits.

The top three cancer site types include breast cancer, accounting for 21 percent, prostate cancer totaling about 21 percent and lung cancer with 20 percent.
