Ultimax-i FPD, R/F, radiographic fluoroscopy

October 1, 2015 — Expanding the clinical capabilities of limited radiographic-fluoroscopy (R/F) room space with the industry’s smallest tilting C-arm multipurpose system available, Toshiba will showcase the newest addition to its X-ray portfolio at RSNA 2015.

The Ultimax-i FPD multipurpose system has a small footprint that installs adjacent to back walls to provide extended space for the operator. This mitigates construction costs, improves patient access and allows for more complex procedures by providing routine angiography lab capabilities within an R/F room.

Enabling clinicians to diagnose and treat more patients, the multipurpose system can accommodate up to 500 lbs. with a wide, high capacity table to comfortably image a wide range of patients. The system features full-spectrum detection on a flat panel detector with corner-to-corner, 43 x 43 cm coverage for high-resolution imaging. This large flat panel detector, along with other dose management features, can help limit repeat radiation exposure and ensure safer and more efficient exams.
