July 29, 2008 – Taking a new leap in QA systems, Unfors Instruments Inc. showcased the Unfors Xi Survey detector at AAPM 2008.
A new feature of the Unfors Xi Platinum edition, the detector is the addition of the Unfors Xi Survey detector for measurements of leakage and scatter radiation.
The Unfors Xi Survey Detector’s design is based on solid state sensors with clear benefits in size, sensitivity and durability. The dose rate range is from 0 nGy/h to 0.1 Gy/h and is suitable for usage in the energy range from 13 keV to more than 1,25 MeV. The handheld Unfors Xi Survey detector is very easy to use and has in addition to the displayed measured values, an audible tone with a frequency corresponding to the dose rate.
