Ethicon Endo-Surgery Inc. will showcase improvements to its Mammotome MammoMARK Breast Biopsy Site Identifiers, which reportedly further enhance performance and accuracy in marking.
The new bowtie-shaped marker complements the new design of the MammoMARK line. This titanium clip marker is embedded in a single, self-expanding collagen plug that expands up to 300 percent of its compressed size, yet it remains centrally located in the biopsy site after the collagen resorbs.
MammoMARK markers eliminate the need for pull back before deployment, reduce deployment force by 50 percent and are compatible with multiple biopsy devices
