May 19, 2011 — Carestream Health announced an agreement with PenRad Technologies of Minnetonka, Minn., to market PenRad’s patient tracking and mammography information system (MIS) to U.S. healthcare providers. PenRad systems can be seamlessly integrated with Carestream Health’s mammography workstation, which can be connected to a PACS from Carestream Health or other vendors.
This upgrade is available for existing users of Carestream Health’s mammography workstation as well as with new orders.
PenRad’s PenTrac automates management of patient recalls and reminders, letters, statistics and MQSA reports to improve efficiency and standardization in mammography patient tracking and reporting. In 2010, PenRad was recognized by KLAS as the leading MIS for the third consecutive year.
Carestream Health offers a comprehensive digital portfolio of women’s healthcare solutions that includes: CR-based mammography imaging systems; mammography modules for its RIS/PACS platform; a multi-modality breast imaging workstation that allows reading of all breast imaging modalities as well as general radiology exams and high-resolution output to laser imaging systems.
