A coil specifically designed for the Philips Achieva MRI takes advantage of 8-channel system capabilities including SENSE imaging applications was also highlighted. Open apertures provide for both lateral and medial access for MR breast interventional procedures. It also features a fully integrated biopsy system, immobilization kit and significantly increased aperture volume; high SNR; extensive coverage of axilla and chest wall.
Also featured was ESys, a complete MRI compatible in-room entertainment system. ESys includes high definition in-magnet room display, 2-way audio visual presentation and a variety of media sources including DVD, Cd, MP3, MPG and more.
Other highlights included DynaCAD, a computer aided detection workstation that streamlines MR image viewing, analysis and interventional planning, Eloquence, which provides fully integrated hardware and software for clinical fMRI exams, and Precess, reportedly the first monitor in the world to feature wireless ECG and SpO2.
