A complete solution for tracking assets and people within hospitals, HealthTrax includes RFID asset tags and enterprise software that can be used with standard wireless networks. The RFID tag is 802.11 Wi-Fi-based and eliminates the need for a separate or redundant wireless network for asset tracking. Once the tags are attached, hospital staff can quickly locate what they need on a Web-based electronic floor plan. The tags can also provide security benefits by triggering an alarm if hospital assets are taken from designated areas.
