February 26, 2013 — The TIMS Medical division of Foresight Imaging released the TIMS version 3.0 platform to provide high resolution digital video formats in fluoroscopy and endoscopy.
This new platform for their flagship TIMS digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) System includes a new, more powerful computer platform, Windows 7 64 bit operating system, and a software upgrade with many new productivity and workflow improvements.
The new TIMS computer platform includes a powerful Intel Core i3 processor, 4 GB of memory, a 500 GB hard drive, CD/DVD-RW, and a high performance Foresight Imaging PCIe x4 analog and digital video acquisition board. This supports video acquisition from all medical imaging devices including the newest fluoroscopy and endoscopy systems featuring high resolution DVI-D and HDMI based 1080p video. Additionally, the new platform is slightly smaller than the previous generation and is appointed in the “TIMS Blue” color scheme.
The version 3.0 software upgrade includes a number of new features to improve productivity and workflow including PDF attachments as DICOM, frame range editing enhancements, save to CD/DVD as AVI, a new stand-alone DICOM viewer, more archiving options, and much more.

TIMS 3.0 is available now. The feature equivalent software release for the previous Windows XP platform (v2.5) is also available now.
